Requirements-
- Minimum 4 GB RAM and 8 GB RAM recommended
- At least 12 GB free Disk Space
- Good Internet connection for downloading Kali Linux Virtual Box file
I am installing Kali Linux in this tutorial, but the same steps are applied with other Linux distribution such as Parrot OS and Debian etc.
Installation-
Step 1- Download and Install Virtual Box
Go to the site of Oracle Virtual Box and download the latest stable version here:
Installing a Virtual Box is not a very hard thing. Just Double Click on the downloaded Virtual Box exe file and follow the instructions which shows on the your laptop screen. It’s like Installing a regular software on your windows.
Step 2- Download ready-to-use Virtual Image Of Kali Linux
After, you need to download Virtual Image file of Kali Linux. You can get this file to the official website of Kali Linux or easily download to here:
Step 3- Install Kali Linux using Virtual Box
You have installed Virtual Box and download the ISO file for Kali Linux distribution. Next, you are now set to install Kali Linux in Virtual Box.
Step 4- Start the Virtual Box and Click on the Import symbol.
Step 5- Next, browse the Kali Linux which you downloaded. The file name is started with Kali Linux and end with .ova extension.
Once You select the file, click on Next.
Step 6- Then, you will be shown the setting for the Virtual Machine you about to import. Then you customize them or not , It is your choice. No problem when you go for default setting.
Next, You need select a path where a sufficient storage available.
Next, select the import the hard drive as VDI option.
Next, Click on Import Option
Step 7- After you will see a listed, Click on the start button to launch Kali Linux.
